I was invited to be the last ever member of public/photographer in to what was the Rhyl Sun Centre, prior to its sad demolition that is due to take place shortly.
As with many holiday makers and locals, I spent many a happy time in here as a child, a teenager and as a dad.
Being left alone to do these photos, I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t sad.
Picturing myself going down the slides (especially the Octopus and the Dragon which were there way before the more modern ones that run outside).
And having a bite to eat in the food area.
I also seem to remember there being little discos or entertainment of some sort on some days.
It was a very eerie place to be, with just the sound of the Seagulls on the ceiling as company.
I was asked to not go down to the changing rooms for safety reason which is why there are no photos of this section.
